As part of my previous college module we had to create an instructional diagram- mine are instructions for a bird box- they aren't particularly sensible!
Here are the individual images as development for an instructional diagram that I had to create as part of my last module at college. These are instructions for a bird box- they aren't supposed to be particularly sensible :-)
Here are a couple of (bad) photos from my Brabantia prize winner's presentation in Plymouth during the summer- they made me stand with my prizes and took lots of photos (it was rather embarrassing...) It was nice to have won though!
When I was doing work experience at Rob Ryan's studio back in February I helped work on a few pages in his recently published book 'a sky full of kindness'. I found out when I went back to do some more work experience in October that he has very kindly put my name in the acknowledgments at the back of the book :-)
This is the other editorial illustration that I had to do for college. The specifications were that it had to be collaged and it had to be in the style of a set list of artists. Mine is digitally collaged and is an image of Benjamin Zephania and his grandmother sitting on their veranda in Jamaica, which it says in the article is one of the best times in his life. The text on the veranda is made up of one of the poems he has written. It's not one of my best pieces of work and I found it really hard, especially to do the figures.... I don't think I would make a particularly good editorial illustrator but I'm glad that I have had a go at it as it's good experience!
These were the drawings that I produced in the second toy drawing workshop at college- we had to use the same toy and make a 3 drawing sequence in which it 'evolves' and comes to life- I drew bunny dreaming about being a pirate. The drawings are all pencil drawings.
