Hand Sewn Sensory Book

This is a project that I have been working on for a while. It's a fabric, animal themed sensory baby book which I have sewn by hand. It has lots of different textures of fabrics and things to touch like buttons, beads and ribbon as well as bells in the whale, squeakers in the octopus and sheep and crinkly fabric in the butterfly wings. My daughter really enjoy playing with so I think it was worth the effort even it did take months to finish- I think that next time I'll have to pick a non sewing project!

  1. That is SO amazing. That would be Digory's dream. He is sorely disappointed whenever I read him a book that doesn't have feely bits - he scratches at different parts of the page hopefully.

    1. Ahhh thanks Chloe, Belle really loves books at the moment- her favourite things is to turn the pages then shut the book then open it again and so on- she can sit for a good half and hour just turning book pages if she's in the right mood! xx
